Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University at the I Russian-Indian congress in Mumbai

 The IIT Bombay technological institute held the first formal meeting of the Russian-Indian Association of Universities on February 11-12, 2016. Representatives of 11 leading Indian institutes and 9 leading Russian universities, Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University among them, took part at the meeting.

Italian project to be continued…

Managed by the Department of Literature of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University, an international educational project called Winter Philological School. Russian Literature within a context of European culture ran from January 16-24, 2016 at the NMSTU. The university welcomed four students from the University of Milan.

Factory workers from Cuba to study at Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University

An international educational program for workers of the Antillano de Acero metallurgical factory (Havana, Cuba) was inaugurated on February 2, 2016 at Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. The program is one of the largest and long-term projects with foreign partners of late. Started under the Russian-Cuban agreement, the project is driven by plans of the Cuban metallurgists on upgrading of their factory.

«BRAVO!» French Theatrical Performance Festival

Library No. 2 held the first «BRAVO!» French theatrical performance festival. The Municipal Department of Education and the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology and Translation of the NMSTU Institute of History, Philology and Foreign Languages helped to arrange the festival. «BRAVO!» festival featured poems, fables, and fairy-tails in French. About 100 school and university students performed skits in French. A Grand Prix winner will go to Yekaterinburg. 

Roundtable discussion «World without Frontiers: International Educational Programs»

The English Language Department of the NMSTU Institute of History, Philology and Foreign Languages held a roundtable discussion “World without Frontiers: International Educational Programs” on the 30th of November 2015. Teachers, students, upper-form students from local schools and others participated in the discussion. Student and faculty academic mobility and international cooperation were under discussion. Former participants of international educational programs took an active part in the discussion and shared their impressions and experience.

Republic of Montenegro grants an experience

I am in a programme

When I learnt about the International School on IT and GRID technologies for young researchers, I submitted my report for a contest. The report was based on my graduation paper on computer technologies applied to the analysis of energy efficiency of power station performance. But it focused on new options enabled by GRID technologies and supercomputers. Finally, my report was selected.

Master’s programme students of the Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University to study at the Universidade Aberta (Lisbon, Portugal)

Under the “Tempus” trans-European cooperation programme in the field of higher education, Ksenia Lesovaya and Eugenia Ionova, the second-year students in the Master’s programme in Design of the Institute of Construction, Architecture and Art of the NMSTU, will take three-month courses  at the Universidade Aberta (Lisbon, Portugal) starting from November 2015.
