NMSTU Student Wins a Grant of the French Embassy in Russia

batalovaThe student at the Department of Russian Language, General Linguistics and Mass Communication Svetlana Artemova has been awarded a grant by the Embassy of France in Russia.

Svetlana is to take up a linguistics course at the International Foreign Languages Centre in Brest, Bretagne, France.

New International Partnership

A cooperation agreement between NMSTU and the Magnitogorsk Public Organization of Peoples’ Friendship MOST, which represented the Republic of Serbia, was signed on July 1st in the university conference room. The agreement is aimed at promoting tighter relations between NMSTU and its Serbian partners in the areas of education, science, culture, sports and social projects.

Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University Ranked among TOP 100 Universities of Russia

Following the 2015/2016 National University Ranking carried out by the international information group Interfax, NMSTU was ranked among the TOP 100 universities of Russia with the position 82 out 240 universities.

French Students at NMSTU

This year three Bachelor’s students from the Jean Monnet University in Saint-Etienne, France took a term of study at our university as part of the EU Erasmus+ Credit Mobility programme. They attended a series of lectures designed for the Bachelor’s course in Designer and Engineering Support of Machinery Production.

Meeting a Belgian Photographer

In May our university witnessed a visit by the Belgian photographer, curator and multimedia editor of the Maagdenhuismuseum in Antwerp Franklin Van Hees. The English Language Department and the Department of World History of the Institute of History, Philology and Foreign Languages organized a meet-the-artist session.

Russia – Brazil: Facets of Collaboration

Russian pedagogics is renowned all over the world. The Zankov system of developmental learning is adopted as part of the national education in Norway and Japan, the Czech Republic and Moldavia and in many other countries, including Brazil. It is the Federal University of Uberlândia (or UFU), Minas Gerais, Brazil, where the associate professor of the NMSTU Department of Pedagogics, Ph.D. in Education Liudmila Guseva travelled in early May following the invitation by the UFU  leadership. Liudmila is a practicing follower of the Zankov system.
