Magnitogorsk Quantorium to Open Its Doors

The children’s technology park Quantorium is to open its doors on 6th November. From this day on, adolescent researchers will be learning new technologies and developing and implementing their own ideas in response to the regional industrial trends.

Pedagogic Approaches in Russia and Tajikistan

From 14th thru 20th October, Khujand State University in Tajikistan witnessed another workshop under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building projectExcellence in Engineering Education through Teacher Training and New Pedagogic Approaches in Russia and Tajikistan”. The aim of the recent workshop was to define what areas would be potentially most important for the consortium, which encompasses 12 universities from Russia, Romania, England, Portugal and Tajikistan. Two associate professors from NMSTU took part in the workshop.

NMSTU Ranked in QSBRICS University Rankings 2019

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has recently published its QS World University Rankings BRICS – a ranking of the leading universities among BRICS members, which include Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. A total of 400 universities are included in the published ranking.

The recent ranking marked the first time when NMSTU – ranked 301-350 – was listed among 100 other leading universities of Russia.

Five Steps Closer

On 1st October, a team of undergraduate and postgraduate students led by professor Levandovsky from NMSTU’s Department of Materials Processing returned from Italy, where they took an internship at one of the major manufacturers Danieli. It was the fifth trip under NMSTU’s so-called iSmart Packages concept, which stands for technology, equipment and human resources delivered in one package.

Summer Euroschool in Yekaterinburg

At the height of the World Cup 2018 and a major industrial trade fair Innoprom, Yekaterinburg also witnessed a very important student event. 40 students and young teachers from various Russian universities, as well as experts from Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania and Russia, gathered in early July to discuss the future of the Russia-EU relations.

On 18-20 September 2018, NMSTU’s Institute for the Humanities offered a venue to the 4th International Conference World Literature through the Eyes of Young People of Today. Digital Age.

The forum gathered young researchers from Italy, Hungary, China, as well as from research centres and universities representing 21 cities of Russia.
