NMSTU Students Meet Italian Professor

Professor Manuele Dabalà from the University of Padua in Italy visited NMSTU to promote international student mobility programmes.

NMSTU and the University of Padua, one of Italy’s best universities, have been partners for 7 years now. Numerous students from NMSTU have done their semester-long studies at the Italian university. Before, one could only dream about such opportunity. Today it is the reality.

Our university offers the greatest selection of academic mobility programmes in the whole region. And many of the programmes provide full or partial funding. 30 students participated in the programmes only last year, and it is a significant result as it all started with just one participant. Today, we collaborate with universities from 34 countries of the world. And the list of our academic partners keeps expanding,” said NMSTU’s vice rector for international affairs Alexey Korchunov.

This time not only university students but also school pupils came to learn about the possibility to study and live in Italy. Professor Manuele Dabalà introduced the University of Padua – one of the oldest universities in Italy and Europe – and responded to questions from the audience.

It is Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University that is our most important partner in Russia. And I am happy to be speaking here in front of this audience. It is important to continue to develop our collaboration, and student exchanges are an important part of it. Students can do a semester-long study at our university, but also they can take part in a double-degree Master’s programme or sign up for a postgraduate course in any field,” said Manuele Dabalà during his presentation.

The professor told about all the possible forms of cooperation and invited students to become a part of this solid Russian-Italian friendship.
