New Partners from Kazakhstan

NMSTU took part in the Rector’s Meeting, which was held on 8th thru 9th November in Chelyabinsk as part of the XIV Russia-Kazakhstan Cooperation Forum. As a result of this participation, NMSTU signed three cooperation agreements with Kazakhstan universities.

The new NMSTU partners include Karaganda State Industrial University from Temirtau, Rudny Industrial Institute from Rudny and Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University from Pavlodar. As part of the cooperation agreement signed with the Pavlodar State University, NMSTU academics will act as co-supervisors for PhD programmes in metallurgy.

“The current trend is digital economy, and all the leading universities of the world, Russia and Kazakhstan focus on developing this area. The key is to keep up with the trend. Every university has its potential, including NMSTU. Another important development in today’s education is the increasingly popular concept of University 4.0, which implies that a university should not only excel in research and innovation, but should also work to implement global projects for the industry and support the industry in tackling challenging tasks.

We gladly welcome the new cooperation initiatives. It has become a good tradition for Russian universities to establish close ties with academic partners from Kazakhstan. We are looking forward to successful joint projects with our new partners and friends,” said NMSTU’s rector Valery Kolokoltsev.
